I voted Other: some of the Lords agree with me all the time so they're my go-to, but most brands are great. Pretty much anything marked with platinum is too harsh for me.

I have to say Gillette Silver Blues are the best I've tried so far. Very comfortable and stellar results. Astra SP's are as comfortable, but don't feel as sharp to me. I was really hoping PolSilvers would be even better, but they seem a bit harsh.

Have also tried: shark, family dollar (Vietnam), Rapira sweedish super steel, lord platinum, and Voskhod.

Depends on the razor, but overall Rapira Platinum chromes are my #1

Very low on my personal favourites list; they are sharp enough for me, but lack smoothness.

I have found that many different blades work well for me, but some last longer than others. Favorites are GSB, Pol-Silver, Perma-Sharp, Bolzano.

I've gone totally vintage. I did some serious and patient hunting for a couple of years and acquired a lifetime stock. My favorites are Personna 74 and Wilkinson "Light Brigade" but I also use Gillette Platinum Plus, Gillette Spoilers, Schick Plus Platinums Schick Super Stainless Kronas, and even a select, pristine, few carbons.

Love the suggestions on here for blades. Have some at home but want to purchase a sampler. I have sensitive skin so I would need "forgiving" blades if there is such a thing. What would you all recommend as far as a sampler. I have some Voskhods and maybe some Gillettes. Will be purchasing from tryablade.

GSB (Gillette Silver Blue) are very smooth blades and Polsilver Super Iridium as well. :)

+1 for Gillette Silver Blue. So far it's my favorite blade. Treet Platinum is another one that I like. I have sensitive skin as well .

Love me some Feathers. I get the closest shaves with them, and so does my husband.

Haven't tried Feathers yet, I guess because of all the hype of them cutting your face off

When I was first learning DE shaving, I tried a number of brands. I saved Feathers for last, trying them only once I trusted my technique. But having tried them, I won't use anything else.
