Gents, This is my latest vintage brush restore project. I acquired one of the new Tuxedo synthetic knots in a trade and I couldn't be more impressed. For those of you who prefer synthetics, but want something other than the plisson-style offering, this knot has it. It's more dense, but doesn't require more effort to make it splay. It has the same silky soft face feel, and actually holds water a little better than the other synthetic knots I've used. This has quickly moved up to my go-to brush. The base of the knot measures 24mm, but it feels just as big as the 26mm knot that I pulled out of the stirling kong brush. I highly recommend this knot gents. If you have an empty handle, go and add one to your cart. http://etsy.me/2bFBbnD
It's a good one Clint. I found out that it fits perfectly into the blank rubberset 400 ferrule. I might get another one for that project as well.
I just received a brush with this same knot, and it is Fantastic! Super soft and yet has a good back bone on it. It lather very easily. I would highly recommend it as well.
I have a horse, badger, boar, and a Maggard synthetic and love them all. You guys make it so hard to say no.

Seems like I'll be looking around for a handle for that. Looks real nice and saw some great reviews for it.
APShaveCo on Etsy. Peter Wolf must be getting his new Black Wolf knots from the same supplier. I love this brush.
