Tonight for us: Pan fried bone-in chops (dry rubbed with cumin, salt, chile powder) Roasted Brussels Sprouts/w evoo, fleur de sel, paprika, and pecans Roasted Buttered Acorn Squash with clove, salt and nutmeg
The ol' lady made grilled chicken breast with zucchini zoodles (made with her new Veggetti she got for Christmas) sauteed in a splash of olive oil with garlic and parmesan with some cranberry juice and water 50/50 mix to quench my thirst.
Cabbage and noodles, Kelbasa and cabbage, pesto and grilled shrimp, turkey at Thanksgiving. She also makes a mean chocolate chip cookie.
Pretty much my standard issue marinara sauce with meatballs. I like to show off the Japanese Donabe clay pot which is among my favorite cooking goodies and happens to do a splendid job with meatballs. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
One really neat thing about making lasagna noodles wit your pasta maker is that you can cut them to the exact length of your lasagna pan.
Just curious, have you tried with a pressure cooker? Beans and soups are done so well and so quickly in the Instant Pot my Crock-Pot is now a soap making device exclusively. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Polish golumkies (stuffed cabbage)! One of the perks of having a wonderful Polish wife who can cook...
Hamburger Sliders, homemade baked mac and cheese, with fried corn on the cob. I love to cook and am really finicky about having everything done just right. It drives my wife nuts. I mix pepper, shredded cheese, Worcestershire sauce and a couple pinches of garlic in with the meat real good (like your making meatloaf) it makes the burgers so tender, try it. The mac and cheese, I buy the macaroni in a bag and just boil it, throw it in a Pyrex dish, and layer it, macaroni then cheese, macaroni then cheese, and then bake it in the oven @ 400 until the top layer of cheese gets golden brown. Ok I'm done ranting over my dinner.....
Tonight we feasted on kielbasa and cabbage with stewed tomatoes and creole seasoning, with sides of fresh turnip greens cooked in a pressure cooker, black eyed peas, and cornbread. Added a healthy dose of homemade pepper sauce! Fantastic!
We're having dinner guests tonight. FedEx just delivered them. Live from Maine. It's the wife's birthday - we always have lobster flown in for the occasion. I'm originally from Maine and need my lobster fix every so often.
She's definitely the "6" here. Whole lobster tonight and lobster rolls tomorrow - grew up on this stuff. Of course back then in Maine, lobster was cheaper than red meat so we had them often.
