Razor: Gillette Black Tip X 3 1952 Blade: Wilkinson Sword (3) Brush: Semogue 1305 Boar Tri Coloured Handle Wood Handle Soap: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle Aftershave: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle Balm Outstanding three passes with a clean up for a near BBS. Bourbon Jungle is in my top 3 shave soaps. Route 66 Bourbon Jungle has a rich woody notes of Italian Bergamot, Apple Wood and Tonka Bean rounded by hints of Patchouli, Cedar wood, and Oakmoss, with exotic notes of Cardamom, Vanilla Bourbon and Allspice. The aftershave balm is a great finish.
I have had a full tub of Twisted Tweed that I have been using a while now. So now it is just a little left that should be finished up this week. Then I will move to Rum Runner and Lumberjack.
Bourbon Jungle has grown on me. I get equal good results from both Lumberjack and Bourbon Jungle, and the choice between the two is indeed a dilemma of luxury!

SOTD January 11, 2017 Blade: Chinese Schick Razor: Schick J1 injector Brush: Omega 10049 boar Lather: Route 66 Rum Runner Post: Witch hazel splash, Speick, Nivea sensitive balm WTG, touch-up First use with Rum Runner. I like the scent pretty well. The big Omega boar didn't load as much soap as I thought and my touch-up reapplication lather was a bit thin. It was still nice and slick and protective though. I may go with this combination again tomorrow to try and get more soap loaded as I normally do. The J1 was reaaaalllllyyyy smooth. I enjoyed. Really nice shave in the end. I'm enjoying the shaves and all the comments posted in this thread. Thanks to all for making this Route 66 month a lot of fun! Have a great day!
well I accomplished my plan-brought the Stirling Gentleman sampler over to sit on top of the Rte 66 Cavendish. Should be a nice combination.
I received a tub of Route 66 Lumberjack in December 2014 from @Douglas Carey. My first notes on my spreadsheet were "New soap - Great Lather!!" I'm sad to report that after 60 face and head shaves, the rime around the bottom of the tub gave up the ghost and was consigned to my leftover's tub and will part of my amalgamated soap mixture. Route 66 is among the best shaving soaps I have used over the past 3 years. If you haven't tried it, you owe it to yourself to get a tub. Easy to lather and easy to clean up. Perhaps I'll use up enough of my stock of other soaps in 2017 to justify getting another tub in 2018.
