I was eating supper a few minutes ago, came back to my laptop, signed in and saw a new notifications for my inbox and new member WSA offered me a Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed razor for free. I have a 1957 model that was my grand fathers... it is an awesome razor and great to learn with. Enjoy the shaves and Bravo for the PIF.
The blue flare tip super speed was the mild razor, the red tip was the aggressive razor and the unpainted super speed flare tip was right in the middle. Not too mild and not to aggressive. It's a great razor!
Still waiting anxiously on my flare tip SS razor to arrive. I sent WSA a message earlier and he hasn't replied. *sigh*
Oh, forgot to mention that I sent him a message asking him if he sent the razor in the mail to be on the way, but so far he hasn't responded. He just joined yesterday, and I'm guessing he has work today. That's fine. I can wait. I just can't wait to open the package when it arrives and look at that piece of history razor. To be clear, it's a 50's Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip Double Edge Razor. Silver, I think, I'm not sure. I'll just have to wait and see. I don't care what color it is, as long as it's a Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip, I'll be happy with it.
