I wish I could have grabbed a picture of this... As I was driving into Philly yesterday, I noticed a truck from "Dry Clean City". What struck me as odd was the wording on the side and its questionable layout. Basically, it read: "$2.25 Quality dry cleaning at a discount price." So, is $2.25 the price or a measure of the quality?
My wife grew up in Southern California while I have spent my whole life on the East Coast. Early in our marriage, we were visiting her family in Long Beach, when an incident occurred that (to me) summarized the differences between the East and West Coast mindsets. We were on our way somewhere and got caught in heavy traffic on the 405 (San Diego Freeway). That evening, I happened to turn on the news and caught a clip about how traffic on the 405 had been backed up due to the discovery of a body on the side of the road. Without further comment, the anchor moved on to the next story. At this point, my East Coast mind is going "WTF? A dead body is found and you report it as a traffic story?" I still can't get my head around that one...
