Agreed. Fatboy is overrated, in my opinion. I have had several of them over the years and always end up trading them off.
When pristine examples are so readily available for nothing not really a practical problem. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Wish I still had a Red Tip to compare again. Both I had were slightly off in terms of alignment of the doors and/or end caps which bugged me. From memory Krona is smoother and in the same ballpark in terms of efficiency. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
The one thing I will say about the Krona is that I think its more intuitive to find the optimum angle with one.
I never did care for the Schick Krona razor but the Schick Krona blades... I'll take them over Personna 74 blades any day. I'm always on the hunt for NOS Krona blades.
I dropped a Feather blade in my Eversharp DE tonight. Stirling soap provided lather via a Maggard's synthetic knot in my JR#130 brush. Easy to find the angle of attack with the flat Krona cap. Three passes, & because I was using a sample of soap and made too much lather, more clean-up than usual. I'm smooth from chin line up. Still a little stubble on my neck. If I was to Focus on this combination for a week's shaves I'm sure I'd break thru the BBS barrier. I find the Krona, even with a reportedly aggressively sharp blade to be mild & flawless for no nicks. If this wasn't an heirloom razor given to me by my father, I'd pass it to a newbie shaver. It's not bad, but I'm a Vintage Gillette Fanboi. I do enjoy my Schick SE injectors
