I like to use pomade, but there are so many kinds. I'm just wondering, which one(s) do you recommend? Which are the BEST?
I agree, there are so many different ones that I got tired of trying and gave up on pomade. But, despite the brand's reputation, I thought AXE made a good one.
I've seen some recommendations for that as well. I'm very curious about Mickey Lee Soap works and Dr. Jon's. Both are very respected soap makers...I wonder how their pomades stack up?
My favorite is Layrite super shine and when I have the time and want to go petroleum based I use Murray's.
I have heard good things about layrite. Of course, it seems like everyone has their favorite: Nostalgic, suavecito, imperial barber, axe, uppercut, ruezel, etc. Maybe I am just thinking about this too hard...
what are you looking for in a pomade?....I have tried A LOT, and really enjoy the ruezel's (pink) because it has a strong hold, has more of a dry look, last a VERY long time, and the smell is amazing.
I like a strong hold and something that is easy to wash out. The level of shine doesn't matter to me. Price doesn't matter either, of course...All things equal, I would take the cheaper one just like anybody else. Nice packaging is a plus, but not a deal breaker. If it helps, I currently use Murray's. The hold is great, the price is unbeatable, but it is tough to wash out...Which is pretty much my only complaint. I am up for any suggestions.
Give the Layrite a shot. I mostly use Layrite when I want hold but for times when I'm ok with it not washing out for a couple of days I use Murray's.
it all depends on how you style your hair, and how long it is....I would also look at some sculpting putty/clay for something that is easy to wash out....evo-crop strutters is some good stuff.
