This is just me writing up a list of what I have (not including straight razors), just so I have the list and can get a good count. I figured that if I'm going to do _that_, I might as well post it up.

Yeesh - 96 razors, not including the straights. I even think there's another Schick injector around here somewhere.

Edit - Adding the two 'delivered' yesterday that showed up today. One double ring clone (very well made - it's not a solid handle, it's a three section handle, just like Gillette), and one '46 Aristocrat. Unfortunately, not a Regent Tech. That would have been the best one :)

I suppose this means you get to use each razor only once every three months. :(

If I decided to _use_ them, yes. Most of them will go away.

Besides, I don't have to use them. Once you've used one Flare tip, you've used all of them - so that cuts things down a bit. As for the Schick and Gem? No interest.

Wow, that is a lot of razors. I think I only have around 60 or so. I don't have many "duplicates" though. If you have not tried the GEM Damaskeene or GEM 1911 lather catcher, you are missing out on a great shave.

I'm just not really interested in SE. I get great shaves from DE, and don't feel a need to even try the SE.

I'll get one up later. It's a relatively common cheap SE razor.

Unsinger Safety Razor - that's the name.

The one i have still has a blade, and only a small amount of corrosion.

I had no interest in SEs at all and then I got a Gem in a lot of DE razors that I bought. It sat for about 4 months and I was not sure to toss it or sell it. I decided to try it before getting rid of it, and did that ever change my view on SEs. I love the shaves I get out of SEs and now have about 10 in my den. I'm glad I tried it!

Just a thought before you part with them...

Oh, I might keep one - but I've thought about how my face is shaped, and how you shave with one, and I don't think it'll be for me. Not sure I'll even like straight razor shaving.

I've had about a half-dozen SE shaves. They were all decent enough, but not necessarily 'better'than what I was achieving with DEs and so I sold off the SEs (3 of them). When I made the switch from DE razors to straights, the difference in the quality of the shaves was also not dramatic, but the whole SR process won me over- and thus led me to sell off 90% of my DEs. Now I just have far too many straight razors. :D

When I work it down (waiting out the B/S/T so that people here can get first choice for most of it), I'm likely only going to keep one of each model, and some like the Twist, and some of the Techs, I probably don't need more than one or two total, not the *mumble* I have now. The "non-Gillettes" will be even more decimated. They might even been semimated. (half, instead of one-tenth).

As for the autostrop, I'm not kidding when I say smashed. The handle is good, but the 'teeth' on it were obviously deliberately folded under and crimped down. That one's going to go to someone who wants it for parts :)
