Does it work better for cold than hot? Or you just want to sooth the burn afterwards? (I haven't tried it yet. I'll do it when I have a calm day) (edit - brain fried today. Five different "Why aren't you HERE, we need everything fixed now!" calls, and I've only gotten to three of them. Hot water to make it fall apart. got it)
Talked her down, as in Made An Offer and the seller accepted first time? If the Qshave quality is acceptable that'll be the one I order. Any Nays? Yeas? Like I need another DE.
Definitely... From what i read, the qshave goes through one more inspection or something that the ming shi doesn't. I think that's bogus however. Definitely worth it, even at 30-40 bucks it'd be worth it. Sent from my Z963VL using Tapatalk
Yup. $1.18 shipped on E-Bay. I picked up a few of those at random to try them out. Haven't gotten that far yet; I'll probably do it when I finish the VDH and go back to Arko.
I wonder what happened that there are so many so cheap. Is it a canceled order or did someone copy the design or what. It's the same with the Blue's shave soap it's really good but there is a lot of it. What is the story behind that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Never heard of blue's shave soap. The patent on the futur expired so now it's fair game for anyone to make them. In china they're making them for a more reasonable price than merkur is in germany. Mainly because labor and materials are cheaper. Sent from my Z963VL using Tapatalk
They look like this they are on eBay for about $6 It smells faintly like Lemon Lime Bitters and performs really well better than Arko. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Interesting. I'm a fan of arko. It's one of the better performers at any price point in my opinion. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
Similar smell and a harder soap. Just the scent isn't strong. Well worth a try. My 15 year old son likes it. It's much better face lathered Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe this will make the buyers who got burned on ebay feel a little better. Ordered a puck of NOS Williams. Original ad: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Williams-Mu...142398417973?ssPageName=ADME:X:RRIRTB:US:3160 Seller, right here in Indianapolis. zellfinsvintagefinds This is what arrived today:
I got my Ming Shi today and gave it a test run for a head and face shave. Used Ingram shave cream with my WD HM Badger brush. Used the Ming Shi blade that came with it. I first tried it on 3 and found it mild for my taste. So I went crazy and cranked it to 6. That was more my style. Found the shave to be smooth and nick free. Pretty good razor.
Wow, you must really like Williams Shave Soap. I have some NOS Williams(3 yrs old), I can let you have for a song(tenor song that is). But, you have to give me a week or two, to grow some mold on it first, since I know that's how you like it.
I did not need another razor, but y'all enablers caught my attention. I paid $14.99 for mine and had it in three days. I don't know that I will ever use it. I did not care much for the Futur, I thought the Progress to be the better of the two. I will probably throw it in the next raffle.
I bought them at $8 a piece, because the wife wanted to give them away to her female relatives, after I bought a $14 Qshave for her. . She has been shaving with vintage razors for three years now, and she said this is her favorite one of all, so far.
