Love the Fat! I'm off on some vacation time and haven't been posting much. I've been shaving but haven't had much time to take pictures and post, etc. My traditional Friday shave is still on. Terrific results as always.

    Have a great weekend!

Old school tonight. This was my first go with the Gem Doubledge blades.

I am also working on getting the Williams dialed in. First the lather. Tonight I decided to see what I could do bowl lathering. I am a die hard face latherer. Well I got my best Williams lather to date. I may have to use a bowl to lather my Williams.

So I had very good lather to work with. It was nice and slick. This Gem blade gave a surprisingly smooth and close shave for an old blade. I would not hesitate to use these blades in the future. Mind you they are not as good as a new Carbon blade, but a nice nostalgic shave can be had.

The AV is always a winner. Have a great weekend.

Nice shave and interesting to see someone using vintage micromatic double edge blades. I only realised they made double edge blades recently and so found a couple of packs on the net which I hope will arrive shortly. Do you use yours straight out of the pack or do you strop them first?

Having finally got the Shaving Angle right on the Supply, just had to try out a Cream. Works very well too, no clogging up and helped provide a smooth and satisfyingly close Shave.

I used it straight away. It was in very good shape. There was a wax or grease layer on the blade.

Thanks mate. Mine are supposed to be in sealed packs so I'll have a close look and maybe give it a go straight off.

The B&M soap is pretty fantastic. Definitely lives up to its reputation. A fantastic shave. I hope everyone is well. [IMG]

The 1924 looks great with that handle. Do you notice a performance difference?

Personna twin blade in the Schick L1 injector. Smooth shaving with good results. I enjoy this blade in this mild razor and need to use one in my I1 and J1 to see how they compare. Have a great day!

I have seen others say that about williams. BULLY!#

Another good shave with the E2 and Krona blade. As last time it felt rough but the shave came out great with no added work. tmp_7166-20170617_0736151159241750.jpg

I swapped out the Gem reversible blade from the MMCP and loaded into my MMOC
Excellent shave again with this blade. I tiny bit of Aluminum sting on the jaw. All in all a decent shave from these old blades. That being said. I will stick to the new blades on a regular basis.

Williams not cooperating tonight. It is pulling the vanishing act. Oh well keep on trying. I WILL master this soap.
