Do you send the blades ahead on your C3 also. Or do you smuggle them inside the razor?

Man you just need to come to grips with the fact that it is terrible soap and move on. Really

I'm glad you are liking the Williams. Once you get the hang of lathering in the bowl, it will be a natural progression to face lathering.

If it does kick in for you...Then the rewards of being patient will be priceless...
I had problems with Williams in the old days...But since I've rediscovered Wet Shaving...Williams has been like Arko for me...a veritable lather bomb! I don't get it...But I dig it...We talked about this before...I can't remember though...Was there a question about water hardness or something...I just lather the sameway I do my Arko when I brush lather with Arko...And I imagine it would make a good shave stick aswell...Have you tried it that way?

:signs011: I put a cake of Williams in a platic skin cream jar....The jar is about the diameter of a cake of williams or it's like a shaving mug with a screw on top....I put my brush under running hot water for a while...then shake the brush and start scrubbing that cake of Williams...If I need to, I tap the brush next to where the running water hits the sink and start scrubbing the cake again...If the brush starts to dry between passes I'll wet it and scrub that cake again...The more product the better....I end up looking like I'm preparing for a Santa audition at Macys, only...Santa in his underwear :shocked003:

The Williams Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #2 badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher with a CVS blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Got a bit of sunburn yesterday. Chose a Schick N3 with a Twin Blade, cushioned well with MWF. A smooth
    and easy Shave was attained.

Basically the same setup as yesterday except for the vintage Eveready brush. That old knot works really well. Excellent shave. I hope everyone is well.
