A supremely wonderful fathers day shave was had yesterday. First off since it was so warm here yesterday I made it a cold water shave. I filled my scuttle with cold water and the chilling effect when the cold lather hit my face was unreal! 3 passes and no irritation and no issues with tugging. Finished up with some AV Ice Sport to keep the chill going! Have a great day everyone!

I have an Aristocrat that I was having a hard time identifying the year of production (It has the handle and blade tray for the 46-47 Aristocrat but a notched center bar like the 48-50) so I created a thread asking for help. And thus my CT was borne.

    Perry,
Uplifting story! Glad to hear he is out of the woods and is doing great. He sounds strong . You have a great son there. Blessings are rare and you have one in your son. Cherish him daily.

I have enjoyed perusing all of the father photos from yesterday. Yesterday was a mixed bag for me. I got sweet, heartfelt letters from my kids and my wife took me out to lunch then cooked one of my favorite dinners. But yesterday was quite hard for her as it came right on the heels of her father's passing. It was hard to watch her hurting. We did not manage a family pic yesterday, but in the spirit of things here is one from Christmas:

I also was the recipient from an unexpected gift card from a friend to Maggard. So my no-buy turned into a bonanza and still remained intact, as I technically spent no money. I ventured out into some soaps I have not tried before:
    B&M Petrichor
    B&M Seville
    B&M Latha Taiga
    Haslinger Schafmilch

    And two new aftershaves:
    Fine Platinum
    Fine American Blend

I also had a chance to use my MAYhem handle from @BaylorGator with my travel Tech head this morning, along with the Speick cream. A fine shave resulted. I used my Lisa's Natural Cedar & Saffron Post-shave balm, and this stuff has pretty awesome staying power. I put some on yesterday morning after shaving (around 7:30am) and my wife commented on the scent around 10pm. Great stuff.

At least you were able to make the best of a difficult situation and enjoy the day as much as possible.

You really racked up with the gift card with some solid choices.

I tell you, I got super blessed with my SWMBO. She's an incredible woman. And having pretty awesome kids doesn't hurt, either.
