Beautiful Tom. Just Beautiful!!! I do not get jealous of most razors....but I think I am jealous of that one. The prerunner of the 1914 I think @Bird Lives said before.

Yes she is a beauty. Still glows after 100 plus years. She is a keeper.

What years were those made Tom? I always get a bit confused on the dates for some of our favorites.

Same razor was produced under both the Yankee and R&S branding sometime after the 1909 American patent application was made (531199/09, would be approved 1915), likely 1910ish. Hard to find.

I wonder then if they were building that one at the same time they were building the last of the ER lather catchers. They stopped that I think in 1914.

Not sure how to date the R&S and Yankee with great precision, but I believe R&S would only have been 1909 (because the company ceased to exist), and the Yankee "patent applied for" models would be sometime after December 1909 (the application date), likely not continuing very long given how rare surviving examples seem to be. FergieBilly is the go-to guy on the history of the British Ever Ready 1909. [IMG]

Schick G1 today. My first and favorite injector. Smooth and comfortable! Mitchell's and Fine American are a stellar combination. Great way to start the day!

Well. It only cost me my first born. It was time she should be moving along.
I was lucky enough to have it come to me seemingly out of nowhere.

I think this may become my favorite razor. Only time will tell

    Razor: L1 Schick Injector
    Blade: Personna (1)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Today was the first shave with a newly-acquired Schick L1 Injector. This had to be the hardest-to-clean Injector I've ever had. The blade in the razor was practically glued in with a substance that had the consistency of tar or really old Coca Cola. It took a lot of soaking and a bit of force to get it out.

Unfortunately, a self-made crisis caused me to have to rush the shave and end up with a scratch along my jawline. A decent shave otherwise, though.

One thing I did notice is that, like my Schick M3, the larger face of the razor has a slight tendency to drag on my skin when using a single blade. I suspect these later razors were optimized for use of a Twin.

After using the modern Single Edge, had to Shave with my favourite Vintage injector that only uses a single blade. As smooth as ever but honestly not quite as close a Shave as obtained with other blades. Must try it with a Proline in it

Razor: Mongoose B2 w/Hempel Ti Handle
    Blade: Feather (6)
Brush: El Druida Red Heart Chakte Kok/African Blackwood 2 Band Badger
    Soap: Timeless Signature Bay Rum
    A/S: Booster Iced Lime
Bowl: Symmetrical Pottery Dottie Blue & Lt. Purple

I been getting really excellent shaves with the Mongoose B2 this week. All shave have been either BBS or to close to call. The brush is a dream to handle and the soap is working out very well. Today was a 3 pass shave and so little touch up it's not worth mentioning.
