GSB's win, they are considerably better than Polsilver SI's in every way. Polsilver blades are very below average for me.

For me it is more of a comfort and longevity thing. Polsilvers are plenty sharp, but not as smooth for me. I can pretty easily get 4 really good shaves from a GSB and maybe 2 from Polsilver. But, Polsilver feels harsher to me.

To me they are both comparable and I enjoy using both, but the GSB wins hands down at almost half the price of the polsilver si.

GSB is my "benchmark" blade. When I pick up a new razor and audition blades, Gillette Silver Blue leads off and everybody else has to come up to that standard. So far only Voskhod and Shark Super Chrome have made the grade.
GSB is the only blade I use in my NEW SC..

GSB for a long time was my go-to, and I found the Polsilvers a little too harsh to me. Over time I have found myself using Polsilvers a lot more and GSBs a lot less. I think my technique got better and I could handle the sharpness betterer.

During the Great Polsilver Panic of 2016 when it was rumored they were being discontinued I bought 400 blades for my underground bunker in preparation for the apocalypse, so I am G2G for the foreseeable future.

That said, Voskhods are overall my favorite & I find them to be the perfect blend of sharpness & comfort.

I haven’t used a GSB for a while — my last couple of shaves with them went south on me and it felt grabby. I’ll give it another go to see if my opinion has changed, as I suspect my growing a little sour on GSBs might be partly psychological.

I have tried both from different periods. Both are made at the same plant, so they have always been very similar. When it comes to GSB, the earlier double wrapped were more smooth than current blades. Also earlier PolSilver SI were in my opinion more smooth.

I think current PolSilver SI and GSB are very close to be identical.

I used my GSB today for the last time until OCtober gets here. I am liking the GSB though.

Polsilver SI wins every time in my razor. For me it's the best multi-razor functioning blade.

Polsilver is sharper and longer lasting than the GSB.

Having said that, the polsilver turns buttery smooth after the 2nd shave (not that the first couple are rough).

2 blades I don't understand the love for are Polsilver and Voskhod. GSB blows Polsilver away !!!
