I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Schick E3 and a Personna Stainless blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Pushbutton today. Smooth results in the end but I had to work a little harder than usual. Took two full passes and a little clean up to get where I wanted. This was the fourth shave on the GEM blade. I am going to start a PTFE blade for the next GEM shave. Nice results in the end despite a little more work. Loved the chill from the Stirling Glacial Lemon! Great stuff.

    Have a nice day!

Today was my aluminum RR Black Hawk V2 with Feather blade I think and a Simpson Colonel brush, TOBS Lemon & Lime cream in an Old Spice mug followed by Pinaud Lilac Vegital. Results were PDG.

Thanks Clint. Yep, all is well with the Herm (other than golf season is rapidly coming to a close).

I've been really enjoying my Schick Adjustable with a twin blade the past week. What a combo! I've got the razor set 'wide open' and it's been awesomely smooth each day. I'm on day 6 and it's still going strong. I also tried some Soap Commander for the first time, very nice barbershop scent.

Today was the first time I took out the Gem Open Comb Micro to use. I acquired it a month or so ago. I haven't shaved for 3 days so I could put this to the test. It's only the 2nd Micromatic razor I've used (besides the Clog-Pruf). Initially I put in a used blade which had 2 or 3 previous uses, I couldn't remember. Starting out the shave felt rough so I didn't waste anymore time and put in a new blade. So much better! It was a smooth, 2 pass shave. I didn't even have to go over my trouble spots a 3rd or 4th time. It was a CCS!

    Have a great week everyone!

Stayed at a friend's house who moved recently so it is empty. Unfortunately it has no cable or wi-fi either. But, it has power and that is a luxury right now in Florida.

We visited the house today. No power there now for over 24 hours and the power company is saying some customers will be without power for days and even weeks. No telling when it will return. Some minor damage to the soffit and multiple tree limbs and branches knocked down. Cleaned up the yard today and borrowed a generator to run a dehumidifier in the house. Humidity was over 80% inside. Perfect for a mushroom farm. All things considered, a far better outcome than expected yesterday morning! :happy036:

No kidding! WHEW!! Although...stay on that dehumidifier....Those are the wrong mushrooms, lol! No good for spaghetti sauce or for a Spiritual Awakening! LOL!

So glad your place is still there! The way that storm turned....it was something of a miracle!

    Pre-Shave: Hot Shower

Soap: Edwin Jagger (Aloe Vera?) w/ Stetson AS

This morning I reached to the back of the soap collection and pulled out a soap that I have had for some time, the Edwin Jagger. Now I have had this soap for about 3yrs. I have not used it since the beginning of this year and I have a little left at the bottom of the half pint jar. The scent was a little lacking so to help spruce it up I put a splash of aftershave on it. I loaded the JR #180 like I hated the soap, though I am just trying to use it up that way I can buy another soap. Face lathered to a really good lather followed by a three pass shave. Not the worlds best shave but okay. I need to work on my technique with this razor to get a better shave out of it. Finished off the shave with a cold water rinse and then some Stetson AS to finish it all off. The best part of an okay shave is I get to shave again tomorrow.
