I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Schick G and a Personna Stainless blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired Chinese razor. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Only one issue, and that was with a tiny mole that got in the way, of this wickedly sharp razor. This razor came close to being "Shave Ready", from the factory. It just needed some creative strop work, for about 3-4 minutes, and it turned into a fantastic shaver.

    Razor- Gold Dollar W59.
    Brush- Semogue 1800 Boar
    Soap- Stirling Glastonbury
Aftershave- Vintage Shulton Old Spice. Care of the "Admiral"

Yeah, I wish it were that easy. But we got off lighter than expected so even with days without power in 90 degree heat and humidity everyone's feeling fortunate.

Today's shave with the 1914 came on the heels of the awesome shave with the 1924. I am always torn between which of these two is my preferred razor. Today was no different. I think it's maybe smoother but just the barest bit less close than the 1924. Hard to say but a fantastic result nonetheless. Every shave should be so good. :happy036:

Thank you Gents. The brush tips on the brush are the softest gel tips I have come across so far that I have tried, get brush. Also out of the 4 Distinctive Goats shave bowls this one is my favorite of the bunch.
