TUESDAY'S SHAVE


Prep: pre shave soap mix
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade: Pol-Silver
Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
Soap: WTF 1k
Post: Mickey Lee Kraken Milk


2 pass shave yesterday afternoon. Decided to melt the pre shave soap scraps i had left and added some coconut oil,caster oil, shea butter and menthol crystals. The result was a big tub/puck that is super slick and has a nice menthol punch. To be honest I was a bit dissapointed with the scent of this soap, it is very light (about 3 or 4/10) but the performance of this WTF soap is excellent. Did get a few nicks and the blade was dragging a bit which is a bit surprising since there are not many shaves with this blade. Finished off with Kraken milk, what a refreshing A/S I wish Mickey Lee would bring the milks back because this is some very moisturizing stuff.


WEDNESDAY'S SHAVE

Blade: GSB (1st shave)
Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
Soap: T&S Himalaya
Post: T&S Himalaya



3 pass smooth shave this afternoon. Have grown to really like the scent of Himalaya, was not a big fan at first. Excellent lather quality that held a lot of water. The Icon X3 was mild but cut thru the stubble with no problem. Very happy with today's shave results and finished up with the matching aftershave. Hope everyone had a great shave!

 

Looks like all of the pieces fit together for a great shave today Rob!

All of the Old Spice being posted this month made me want to join in the fun! The I1 was super smooth gliding over that amazingly scented Stirling lather! The only was to finish off such a great shave is with the real Old Spice! have a great day my friends!

BRUSH: Shea Moisture Ultimate Shave Brush - only badger brush that I own.
PRESHAVE: NONE - hot water rinse
CREAM: Pacific Caffeinated Shave Cream
AFTER SHAVE: Aqua Velva Musk

Nice, close, quick 3-pass BBs shave.
Bowl lathered the Pacific. In spit of the great, rich lather it produces, I always seem to feel that bowl lathering takes too much time. The Pacific is a very refreshing cream with good menthol feel.

Good 2-Pass BBS shave.
Still developing my technique with the shave stick. Lather was good, but not exceptional. Need more practice.
I'll figure it out.

Clubman Vanilla has a unique scent for me- best described as lacking any warmth.
It is somehow mildly chemical or artificial to my nose.
I warmed it up with a final splash of Master Bay Rum. AH! THAT's BETTER.
