1972 Super Adjustable refurbish

    Another eBay win. S4 short handle Black Beauty. Didn't think it had much hope when I took it out of the package, but a little washing and polishing brought this beauty back to life. I prefer the short handle to the long.

    That is a great looking razor, my friend! I have a long handled with a plastic base. It's a great shaver, too. Short handle still rules ;-)

    1971 with the R R date code. Loaded with a Voskhod, it gives an awesome shave!

    I applied some mineral oil to the handle, and the nice, black sheen came back to life!

    If the mineral oil doesn't work, for long, I hear there is a more permanent fix.
    For the record, I haven't used it, but it has been said before that Rust-Oleum Appliance Expoxy, painted on thinly, will bring it back to original color and look. :D
