Did two passes this morning. I think the blade may be starting to wane. The two pass shave is not as good as before. I have also found that the razor keeps water in between the two parts of the head and I am having difficulties with getting the blade fully rinsed off. Though I'm still in love with this razor.

I have decided to use my boar brush for all of this month to get it completely broke in. It is starting to soften up some so I guess you could say I am off to a good start. Uncle Jon's Gravity worked great this morning and has a good scent. I did three passes this morning to try and bring the baby home hoping to prove to myself that the Pink blade had not turned south. Ended up with a DFS but not the BBS stellar shave I got when the blade was new. I will use this blade for a couple more shaves(cause I'm cheap & I am still getting a DFS out of it). On the bright side the next blade to go into the razor is a Schick Proline I got in a PDF on another Forum. Finished my shave with some Avon Blend 7 and I am ready for the day.

11/07/17 -> 3rd shave on the PROLINE blade on the General aluminum. Great shave! Proline blade feels even smoother than first 2 shaves. This is my 1st artist blade and razor I have ever used. How many shaves do u folks get from a Proline on a General Aluminum? Peace, JAMIE B.........

I would think you should get at least 7-10 shaves and maybe much on each blade.

Thanks Clint. So the Proline was very smooth on the GENERAL. I got the P blades easily from Shearworld.com and 30 blades will last a long time. I have many injectors and a variety of vintage injector blades, the mid 1970's seem to have the sharpest blades. I still wanted to try a proline on a vintage injector, I finally figured out the Japanese Rakuten(sp?) website with the 'small packet' and got the blades in 6 days. So I loaded the Proline B blades into a empty injector magazine (with one blade still left in it - which makes it easier) and loaded a proline on schick G8 - I noticed the Proline is a tiny bit shorter than regular injector blade and the edge is curved so when seated in the razor semmed the blade drops a little lower than normal and it bumped the aggressiveness? But it was one sharp shave - not as smooth as the general - but a G8 injector is kind of aggressive - good shave with a little blood - I will try it again today. the Proline's are a fun change of pace

Finished the first set in my comparison of four AC style razors and three different AC blades. The blades are the Schick Proline, Feather Professional and Kai Captain Titan Mild.

The first razor was my brass General with the spiral handle and I did two shaves with each of the blades.

Honestly, at least in the General (we will see what happens with the other three AC razors) there was so little difference that I can't really say any one blade stood out. The Feather Professional might be the most efficient and the Kai Captain Titan Mild the most comfortable but all three produced two pass and touchup PDG+ near perfect shaves with the only issue me not paying attention with the Proline during one shave and nicking my lower lip while doing a Gillette slide.

Next up will be my aluminum RR Hawk V1.

I have wondered about the Proline B blades. Thanks for posting up your thoughts.
