Funny thing is I bought some Stirling Eucalyptus Mint body butter for my wife. My son says it smells like cat wizz, my wife and I like it; strange.
Barbasol Original: Here it comes to save the day! Used Barbasol to SAVE my shave with the Erasmic Shave Stick. I have tried this soap several times without satisfaction. BARBASOL saved the (shave) day. Hooray!!
Yeah, I think not. I don't see any tallow in the ingredient list. Don't know when it was made. Got it 7 years ago. I can get a lather, but it has very little cushion, and as soon as you stop scrubbing, it starts to dissipate. I had high hopes for this product, because my oldest son loves the Arko shave stick. I thought it might be similar. Too bad. I'll have to try ARKO someday.
I have a tallow based one. Its good. I got a arko stick or two extra. Pop me an addy and one is yours. Everyone needs to try the Turkish goodness.
A excellent shave. Qshave adjustable first use Bowl lathered Barbasol with a little bit of water enough for 3 passes. My first time with a adjustable DE. I didn't really know how to start so setting one sounded good. It was very audible. I warm water splashed and re-lathered between passes. After pass two it wasn't as close as I normally am with my Tech so I cranked it up to 3 for the final pass. After that pass I'll start at 2.5 next shave and work my way up to the sweet spot. I couldn't really judge it because it was third pass. Cold water rinse and witch hazel splash x2. Waited a few minutes to let the witch hazel soak in then a splash of Bay Rum. I must say this is the best shave I've had in a while. I have been trying some (India) carts and disposables. The heft to this razor and the ability to adjust was a nice return to DE. My Tech is still my favorite but I'll use this Qshave for a while to see how it does with different blades. I have a feeling that a Derby on 3-4 will be very good in it. We will see next shave. For the life of me I cannot find a quality shaving cream warmer to dispense warm lather by merely inserting the can or gel. Does anyone else recall? They were rather ubiquitous in the 70's, but alas.
