I bought mine for the razor, to play with. Maybe the cream will work well for my feet.

That is why I jumped on it. Disappointed that it is a brushless cream.

I am thinking it will lather even though. Most brushless creams will.

We shall see. That is why I don't like Cremo. It does not lather.

Mine came in - no photos yet. Left it in its box. Does not appear to be as grungy of a cap as others.

Mine's weirdly discolored but cleans up ok. Had a nice shave with the included mystery blade.[IMG]

As an aside, the blade in the box seems to be a Gillette Super Stainless dating from 1969-76. Good blade.

I haven't tried it yet, but it looked good. I may wait till I get my plastic Gillette for a full size handle.

The discoloration on mine came right off with some dish soap and a green scrubby. The early pictures and my own first impression made me think it was corrosion. In retrospect, I think it is the remains of either a protective or anti-reflective coating and that the heads are probably WWII military surplus.

FWIW, I had a very nice shave this morning with mine. Detailed report is over in the March Focus thread.

So what color is your top cap after cleaning? Kind of a bronze (as is mine) or is that a coating you removed?

Now that is interesting. How did it shave?

Just great. Just a single pass head shave but I think better than with the Simplex cap. I'm getting very close shaves with this guy.
