I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #271 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Rolls Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

So far, so good. These first two shaves have been excellent. I imagine that my experience with straights is part of the success with the Rolls. It delivers a very smooth and comfortable shave. After the clean up, I put the blade back in the stropper and gave it 30 cycles. It is ready for tomorrow.

To load 20 Schick Proline B-20 blades into an injector mag
Get a PAL Hollow Ground or Personna Precision Mag circa 1950's
Take off used blade holder and then pull out plug as shown in picture, remove blades and spring with a small flat bladed screwdiver
Place B-20 blades cutting edge upwards as shown and insert fully into blades space, making sure blade slider is fully forward, check blade cutting edges are in correct position away from edge that could blunt them
Turn mag 90 degrees to reveal spring cavity under "PATENT", insert spring feet downward and push until it clicks into position on blades
Finally replace plug closed end first and retaining lug upwards, the hole for the lug is shown in the picture
This saves the tedious process of loading the blades one by one into a mag
    Good Luck

Hey guys. Posting here (on the advice of Fuzzy) to say that I'm looking to acquire a 1912... I am no expert and am looking for some guidance/pointers/possible vendors! I'm over in the UK (if that makes any difference).

    Thanks guys!

EBay.uk has quite a few in good shape right now, unless you're looking for a u.s. model.

The issue is that I'm not sure what is 'good shape' and how much they are really worth paying for! Do you have any links/price advice?

    Thanks for any help!

EDIT: Not looking for any particular model (USA or UK), any 1912 is fine :)

That one looks pretty decent, I don't see anything obvious wrong with it. I wouldn't bid more than $20 U.S. , but only you can say what it's worth to you. Happy hunting! I have a couple nice condition ones ( us made) I'd let go. It would be a little more to ship, but I'd make you a fair deal. Pm me if you're interested.

If you two come to a deal I will go halves on the shipping if everyone is ok with that! I do not have a spare 1912 right now. All have been PIFd.

    Hi James.
I may be able to help out there, I am based in UK and may have a spare boxed 1912, if you do not get one from E Bay.
There are normally plenty of 1912s for sale by UK Based sellers at reasonable prices.

I really like this ER 1924, as I find it handles beautifully when fitted with this non stock handle. The Shave with a blade
on its 2nd outing was very smooth, and the overall finish was more than satisfactory. Eventually must get around to trying a 1914 with a longer handle.
