I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #271 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the J.A. Henckels Safety Razor using a J.A. Henckels Wedge blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My love affair with these RVT soaps continues - this morning I used the Dark Lime. It's got a lovely dry lime scent with plenty of rich, slick, creamy lather and it's also very skin-friendly like all of Mo's soaps. I love the Bull Dog moisturizer because it smells nice, it's soothing, and very protective against irritation. Finally, a couple of splashes of the Booster Iced Lime completed the job. A great BBS shave although the Astra needs to be changed.

    Happy Easter my friends!

This seems like an appropriate soap for Easter. The shave was outstanding in every way.

Call me a sucker for a sad look. Berate me for my memory lapse. Shake your head and walk away. All that.

BECAUSE.........I used the spineless Vulfix 2006 badger brush again this morning!

I was planning this morning's shave yesterday and happened to spot the Vulfix just sitting in the back of the linen closet. All alone as none of the boars or synthetics want anything to do with this weakling. As I was going to use a cream, I figured OK, I'll give it another try. Hadn't used it in over a year I suppose.

Well, same poor result. Sure, it whips up enough lather, but......and it's a big but, it doesn't want to give up the lather. It flops. It splays. It's about impossible to paint on a sufficient coat of lather. (don't even try to face lather!) I ended up squeezing the lather out of the brush and applying by hand.

Still got a BBS after 2 passes and some minor touch-ups. The Vulfix is officially retired as of this day. I will wrap it up after it's dry, put it in a box and bury it in the backyard. I will not be tempted to use it ever again. (although I do like the shape of the handle).

    Cream: La Toja
    "Brush": Vulfix 2006
    Bowl: Dollar Tree salsa
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 slant
    Blade: Astra SP (1)

    Prep: Musgo Real Oakmoss
    Razor: Razorock Hawk SE
    Blade: Kamosuri (2nd shave)
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Catties Bubbles 322
Post: Lalique EDT, Peach Thayer's WH

Very nice Easter morning shave. Figured the 322 would be appropriate and has become my go to for holiday soap. Whipped up a thick lather in the Cooper bowl. Managed a BBS shave with no irritation. Finished off with Lalique EDT to keep with the earthy vetiver theme. Hope everyone has a safe Easter!

    Razor: Gillette Atra Handle
    Blade: Generic Cart. (5)
    Lather: Gillette Foamy
    AS: Afta

Surprise, surprise, accidently ran across my old Atra handle, so I thought that just might along with celebrating Easter. Thought I would have a problem with the `generic` cart. Since the last time I used this razor, I have learned enough from TSD members to get a fantastic shave. So now I have 3 swivel head razors that I can rotate, plus an Italian razor that uses snapped DE blades. I haven't learned the proper angle yet. I may need some help with that.
A1 pass shave, WTG with a slurry lather on my neck for a clean up. Topped off with Afta AS. I have as good a shave as with my other flex head razors. Easily a BBS. God be with Ya`all. Christ has asked me to extend my Christian love to each of you.
