A week ago I started making five 400 type brushes. They are not finished yet, but I wanted to show you. Maybe one speaks to you. Here they are after I have got their shape. I used different woods. From left to right, the woods are: Honduras Rosewood, Leopardwood, Bocote, Zebrawood/Cocobolo, Zebrawood. The Zebrawood/Cocobolo is complete and adopted already. The Zebrawood/Cocobolo is complete and adopted already. It is JR #279. Here are the others. They are complete except for setting the knots. Jim, great looking handles. They all look great but I particularly like the one with the boar knot and the one below it - not sure what kind of knot that is (cashmere synthetic maybe?). More fine work.
Great work as usual Jim @Jayaruh! If someone wanted to get just a bare handle, what size knot do they take?
They really are beauties. My own favourites are the Bocote, the Honduras Rosewood, the Zebrawood and the Leopardwood. Oh wait, that's all of them...
