I think someone performed a repair on their razor after it was tortured to death. Just my guess; though I've seen the things my Dad had to repair after his boys got ahold of them.

    This is what I know.

    Ericsson Wizard made these things.

    Auto Strop made these things.

That thing at the top of the page, well, I don't know what that is.

The strange thing is, I found another one!

I think it's for sharpening double edge blades with a Valet stropper.

    You are absolutely right!

At first I thought it was a clever homemade stopper ... but NO!
That is a Wizard double edge blade stropper made by the Ericsson Screw Machine Products Company. 1920’s.
It is exactly what it looks like...a modified Valet Auto-Strop with a Wizard DE blade holder.

Now the distinguished gentleman can strop his DE blades as easily as the SE guys can, without all that annoying “flipping the bade over by hand” business.

Very cool! Looks like they used the VC1 and the VB1, , must be a little threaded stud added to use the Wizard handle.

    Thank you fine sir! :happy096:

So dang true! My youngest son (28) is now starting to see what I've been taking about for years, his kids (my grandbabies) get into everything. Duct tape fixes almost everything.
