The Haul: July 9th, 2012 - July 15th, 2012

I picked this up at an antique mall yesterday. It's my first adjustable razor. The mechanism is really smooth and it's fairly clean. They also had a really nice blue Lady Gillette, in a case, that I left behind. I'm regretting that now. If it's there in two weeks when I get back there, it's mine.

I going to be honest. With first smell of the the Baby Blue, I'm not excited. To me, it smells like sweet almost cotton candy/baby powder. I will have to try it on to see if the profile changes with my body.

Just got home from Lee valley

I picked up

1 DMT 220 Diamond plate

2 hone holders

When I get home from work tonight I will give them there maiden voyage.

 

Dumb question...but is this the same as Lee Valley Tools? The store that sells a WIDE variety of stuff?

Fantastic idea. Is the Durham handle an exact fit ? I have read some people having to monkey around with handles to get the Fatip head properly fitted.

 

It's a perfect fit. No issues. Durham does have a deep socket which my help. It's probably used to oversized heads sense it's ment to hold the Durham broad sword.

 

Yes luke there are one and the same, turns out they have a retail store in Burlington .. about a 15 min drive from my house!

You can even check to see if your local store has stock online great feature, I placed my order threw a computer in store and the packed it up and was in my hands in less than 5 min
The man who packed my order said something along the lines of wow you must be doing some serious sharpening
I said its for straight razors and he looked at me like I was crazy I guess I was that guys first razor nut lol

 

The postman was good to me yesterday and I used the product for the first time this morning. I was very impressed with the cream and I love the way the after shave balm feels and smells. Kind of a citrus/woodsy smell.
