So, I'll be the first to admit that I'm new to the world of wet shaving and to be honest I'm very overwhelmed by all the choices in razors. My question is what razor is #1 on everyones wish list?
Excellent wish on your part. I wonder why I would say that? http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/two-brothers-part-16.29181/
I'm actually super content razor wise, well at least where DE's are concerned. But I wouldn't mind finding a good condition red tip super speed for traveling. Other than that I'm thinking a good straight. I'm about ready to take the plunge.
Dubl Duck Napoleon Eclipse Red Ring Shake Sharp (Bakelite handled) Darwin Deluxe Abercrombie & Fitch Slant and a lightsaber. ...all in one lot, NOS with cases, with a BIN price of $5 ...only in the Twilight Zone.
I've my 40th coming up next year and the idea of a birthdate razor appeals - any make! I've a Fatip Grande due for delivery. The Bakelite-a-like Mercur appeals, as does a Gillette Blue-Tip.
I keep poking in the corners of antique shops looking for that NOS 195 Bottom Dial 1-5. In my first month DE shaving I have picked up a Merkur 38C, and 4 Gillettes: 58 Super Speed Flair, 40's Aristocrat, 62 H-3 Slim Boy and a 60 F1 Fat Boy. Things don't stay on my wish list long.
A Gillette toggle is on my wish list I don't really care which one as long as it's in decent condition
