All bourbons are whiskeys, but not all whiskeys are bourbons.

    By law bourbon must:

    1. Be made in the USA
    2. Made from a mashbill of at least 51% corn
    3. Be aged a minimum of 2 yrs in new charred white oak barrels
    4. Not be distilled above 160 proof
    5. Not have anything added to it except spring water to cut it[unlike some scotches and Canadian whiskeys that have flavorings and colorings added]

My favorite bourbons are:[in no particular order]

    Booker's
    Ezra B Single Barrel
    Old Ezra 101
Ezra Brooks 90 Pf - my daily pour
    Buffalo Trace
    Eagle Rare Single Barrel
    OGD 114

So, any other bourbon drinkers here?

Admittedly I am a scotch drinker, but when I drink bourbon, I like Basil Hayden.

For many, many years I've stuck with Rebel Yell when I drink bourbon.

I'm not a Bourbon-connoisseur by any means, but when I'm drinking it I always go for Elmer T. Lee

......Sam's Wine & Liquor (the place where I get my stuffs) has private stocks "hand-selected" for them, whatever that's good for.

    WOW !
    You are the man ::
I just cant do it......way too "hot" for me.
Usually I like mine with a cube of "aged" ice to cool it and cut it a bit or "Chilled" in a shaker and strained.

I love it on the rocks, sometimes with coke or ginger ale, or Lynchburg lemonade in the summertime.

Blantons - Oh so good............ special occasion stuff
Woodford Reserve - Excellent, deep & complex flavor
Old Rip Van Winkle's - Interesting stuff in any vintage
Buffalo Trace - best value on the market, great everyday bourbon
Wild Turkey - A good drink that can be found anyplace

I had some of the 12 y/o awhile back and was really impressed.
