I made some cream using one third Shea butter, one third coconut oil and a small amount of olive oil. Melted then whisked. This works great. No nicks or cuts. Is this a good thing to use.
If you're asking a question, it's your shave. Enjoy it your way. By your own statement... ...I think you answered your own question.
If I am reading this right, I still miss one third of ingredient. A small amount of olive oil is not one third, right?
I believe he means to say 1/3 cup shea butter, 1/3 cup coconut oil and 1/4 cup olive oil based on this article: http://syndicate.details.com/post/how-to-make-shaving-cream-at-home
I made something similar a few weeks ago, but I use it as a post shave. It is a bit greasy from all the shea butter and coconut oil, but soothes the skin wonderfully and was inexpensive to make. Glad to hear it can be used as a cream as well.
