http://www.italianbarber.com/products/razorock-quick-change-de-safety-razor?variant=18017164997 I think this is a new one, and I haven't been disappointed by any RazoRock products yet. I've heard some good stuff about most RazoRock razors, and this thing really looks sweet. It looks like they modeled it after the Super Speed. At this price - I'm really tempted to give it a shot. Anyone have this? or have an eye on it?
It's a rebranded Baili BD179, and it is indeed a clone of a Gillette Super Speed. At a glance it appears like red tip head geometry. I've seen this razor as low as $7.
Ahhh bummer. How's the Bail BD179??? I see it for like $6.79 shipped. I might as well pick that up if it's half decent.
Italian barber puts out good stuff, and stands behind it. He will make you happy. $7 bucks, where can you go wrong, if you don't like it, he will make sure you get one that you do.
The original Superspeed is a good middle of the road razor. If this is a faithful reproduction, the price is right. Because the blade gaps, hinges, and tiny little working parts are so precise in their fit, it's a toss up whether an old used Gillette would shave better than a new copy of the same.
Why not? I think Superspeed type razors (unless very cheap with sloppy tolerances) are very good for beginners. YMMV, as always. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
I'll take my '62 Gillette SS Flare Tip over 99% of my other razors. It's the workhorse of Gillette razors.
That may be. I was Internet guessing. Seems like a decent deal either way. I've done my homework, and I know you like Mehaz for beginners, another good SS style razor. I'm with you, SS types are a good starting point.
That Italian barber guy stands behind every thing he sells. And all his razors are well built. Nice and will go out of his way to make someone happy and answer any questions. That's a lot to consider for such a inexpensive item. And his only goal is to make you happy. I just purchased a father's day kit, and glad I did.
