    Great looking C1 Donald!
It looks exactly like my one and only Repeater. I love mine and use it primarily for travel, which I do a fair amount of for work.

If you haven't used Repeaters before, a couple tips from me (ymmv of course):

    - I find the best angle can be found with the head almost flush against my face with the handle almost parallel to the floor, or just a few degrees from parallel.
    - Todays blades are thinner and can tend to jam the repeating loader. Having this happen once, creates more frustration than I care for, so I'll always hand load the blade.
    - Sharper blades perform best for me in this razor.

Here's a link to the TSD Schick Repeating Razor thread.

    Enjoy!

Razor- Clauss Fremont, O. U.S.A. SR, Schick Type G
    Blade- Schick (4)
    Soap- Stirling Barbershop
    Post Care- Crystal Alum
Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO and M-Bomb
    Osage Rub

First time ever using a SR and I'm happy to say I survived. I only did my right cheek and neck but there was zero blood. It was difficult at first finding the angle but once I did it went great. I made the Stirling a little thin and as usual, it performed great. I did three passes and started each one with the SR and finished with the Schick for the rest of my face. I only did WTG with the SR but did WTG, XTG and ATG with the Schick. I did a final cleanup everywhere with the Schick and I'm BBS with very little irritation. I finished up with the Osage Rub which is quickly becoming my favorite. Have a great day folks!

    GEM Stainless
    GEM Featherweight
    Artisan badger brush
    La Toja
    Witch hazel, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Internet is out. No pic again. :angry019:

Simple, quick, efficient shave this morning. I really love injector and SE shaving. Comfortable, smooth, and enjoyable.

La Toja is a fantastic shaving soap. Amazing lather, great scent, lots of slickness and terrific post-shave feel. I'll have to get some more as what I have is only a little bit from a shave stick that I pressed into a container.

Hope you have a great day!

A successful month, focusing on my Schick Type L (L1 and L7) using a variety of blades, comes to a close.

    06-30-16.JPG

The L types are mild razors that shine with sharp, smooth blades. I do not recall a nick or a weeper in a month of near-BBS shaves or better, many of which were one-pass ATG.

The Schick Dutch and FergieFeather rise to the top of the blade trials in this razor due to their sharpness, while the Schick Twin blade performs the most efficiently of the bunch but may be a tad less smooth as the others. This was noticeable on my chin using ATG.

    But I'm really nitpicking here.
    And of course, YMMV.

If I'm in a rush and need a quick, no-fuss and a near BBS shave or better - I'll pick up this razor with any one of these blades. I'll probably load a new one in the L right now and keep it nearby just for that purpose.

    See you in July.
    Cheers!

Sneak Peak for July - having taken the last 6 months to go through focused shaves on all of my Schick injector razors C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K and L (except the M Adjustable - perhaps in August?) the month of July may bring a focus on two non-Schick vintage injectors - the PAL InjectoMatic and the Personna Floating Head.

Two fantastic razors - can't go wrong with those. :happy036:

How are Twin blades in a G injector? Or is that a mistake? Never tried a Twin blade but have one and want to try it. What do y'all think?

They do not fit the injectors before the I.
Don't use in your G. If you want to step the G up. Cut a Feather AC down.

You can always get an N1 and go to town with the twins! :D

I have a couple of Feather ACs. I'll try that soon.

I'm trying to be frugal!! I could spend all my time and money on the Bay. Must stay away!

No I checked. Funny you say that. It is the early model. The blade does tend to push back pretty easily. I need to check after each pass. I will look for the later model in the future.

    Well good on ya Tom!
I don't care what these guys say. I don't think you lack focus at all.

That's a great idea! It's on the way to me from Bear. I'll use the Twin with it after a Chick shave for some comparison.

The Earlier Model has a Longer & Shallower Groove on the Face than the Later One..They are Otherwise the Same...Why they changed that I wouldn't Know..I have had 2 Earlier Ones and they are Fantastic Shaves..The One I got from @Karl G is an Earlier One & all is Tight & its an Awesome Shaver..If the Bade is Moving its Not the Model but something Else is Wrong with it..:)
