Jay, you got a Dollar Tree near you? If you want a really good cart shave, grab the green Noxema 2 pack of 3 blade disposables, which are made by Kai. Clip the plastic struts that connect cart to handle and the carts mate with your Atra handle. A fine shave, let me tell you, I've got one loaded up now. If you like the Dorco shave, you'll love this one.
Day Six Dove Men Face Wash TABAC Shaving Cream Jayaruh #62 Synthetic Gillette Atra Dorco Comfort Thin II CWR, Asma Alum Block T.N. Dickinson's WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue The TABAC Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #62 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Atra with a Dorco Comfort Thin II blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Day Seven Dove Men Face Wash TABAC Shaving Cream Jayaruh #62 Synthetic Gillette Atra Dorco Comfort Thin II CWR, Asma Alum Block T.N. Dickinson's WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue Today completed my seven days with the Atra. Every shave was a great shave. I don't know how many more shaves are left on this cartridge, but it will be retired anyhow. I could see shaving with this long term. I got great shaves with no irritation. I will probably devote one week a year to this razor.
Nope, just the metal ones. I've been pretty lucky to get my one for 9 Euro - they usually sell for 25 up to 60 for NOS/mint ones over here. This one's a bargain Gillette Atra in box I think the Contour/Atra is a great razor, best cartridge razor I have ever used. I like it so much I recently bought two NOS plastic handles just in case ... And I "collected" about 60 original blade cartridges (the ones without those Lubra Strips)
This thread reminds me that I soon have to take my vintage Contour for a spin.. just haven't got around to it yet.
