I was thinking of getting some silicone suction mug lids for my mugs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Then it might make a lot more sense to store the soaps in screw top plastic or metal jars, the kind used by artisan soap makers. For anything other than a small number of soaps, it would be less costly than a covered mug for each soap and more space efficient.
Any thoughts on these? http://www.kilnerjar.co.uk/index.ph...lip-top-jars/0-25l-facetted-clip-top-jar.html
I live in a high humidity climate. Haven't seen it happen in soaps carelessly stored for 12-16 months.
I usually leave my Soap Uncovered for about 24 hours after use, usually drying upside down on a rack. Then will cover them back up. Been doing that for 3 years and all my soaps are as good as the day i bought them
I have one mug that I have several soaps grated into and I don't cover it. I got burned out on having so many soaps to choose from and containers to hold them in. The Tabac that I did not include in my frankensoap is covered, because the bowl came with a lid.
I cover mine mostly to keep dust and cat hair out, I use the same one every day, so drying out really isn't a concern.
Thanks I got some relatively cheap containers from eBay. They are the perfect size. I can't post a link as it is a live auction.
