Canoe Aftershave and EdT

If you live near a Meijer store I just picked up a gift set for $10. Aftershave and EdT. I've heard it smells just like Clubman and it is very close.

Thanks for the tip. I'm an old fart and definitely a fan of Canoe. I have 1/2 bottle of the cologne left, so it never hurts to have a back-up I've been using Canoe on top of Clubman for a long time. I have three Meijer store within 10 minutes

 

All the classic gift sets are out now like British Sterling, Canoe & English Leather. I remember always buying my Dad one for Christmas when I was a kid in the '70's
$10 is a great price but if you want to risk selection, I always wait until Dec 26th because most places like Rite Aid or Walgreen's mark them down 50%. I got Canoe & British Sterling sets a few years ago for $4.99/each.

I hadn't either. I'm on a No-Buy this year and opened the set this week. It was a British Sterling ASB with a spray EDC. The balm worked well and the EDC smelled great!

 

Canoe is a classic "drugstore" aftershave & cologne". You can't go wrong using it. I've always got nice compliments from the ladies when I used it.

And yes, it does smell like Clubman but just a tad more refined.

 

Don't have any presently, but I did drop a hint to HouseHold 6, so maybe Santa will do me a solid.

 

Canoe is my Lady Friends favorite. I hadn't used it before she gifted me with AS & EDT. I ought to get a bottle of Clubman as well. Both are on the approved list.

 

Well, Santa did do me a solid, to the tune of an 8oz bottle of Canoe under the Christmas tree!

Strolled into Meijer today and went straight to the center display where all the Christmas fragrance were. All gone! One exception, a set of Grey Flannel; 4 oz of after shave and a spray bottle of edt. Half off and scored for ten bucks! Old school, floral, powdery scent that is waaaay overlooked IMO.

 

Well, after my Focus shave this morning I cracked open that new bottle of Canoe that Santa brought. Just as I remember it from days of yore. Probably gonna use it all week.

 

I have been using it all this week. Herself has been wearing that look that I have come to recognize as "he'll snap out of this presently, all I have to do is wait."

 

Invite herself to peruse your soaps and AS's. The ladies are in tune with scents. She may have some interesting pairings. If there any rejects you'll have license to go shopping for more!

 

Banged out some Canoe this morning after shaving with Regiment Shaving's "High Speed". Pairs up nicely.
I think I've got a nice combo for Citrus Sunday!

 

Gonna be using Canoe A/S in the morning paired with Trumper's GFT Shaving Cream, once the Black Tip/Voskhod combo is done mowing down my two day growth.

 

The cologne pairs good with pinaud classic vanille AS.
