First lather with a Jayaruh brush! Crafted by Jim from a bit of cypress trimmed from tree in my fathers satsuma orchard and fitted with a Maggard's synthetic knot. Keeping with the theme I whipped up a dense slick decadent lather from several bits of discontinued product. Should have purchased a full sized tub, but they closed shop before I understood what I'd be missing.

Rather than choose one, I went large. Fresh Russian blade in the Heavy for WTG. Swapped into the Regular for XTG. Finished ATG with the Light. I had plenty of lather so I did a bit of clean up G-slides. Alum was warm on my neck in the regular places that I shouldn't ATG. Quickly cooled down with a double splash of Osage. Now that I've used all three of these Good Old Boys for one shave, I'll tuck em away. One day a family member may express interest.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

Thanks Jim. I went back and corrected my error. Freudian slip I would think. :happy088:

Hello TSD ;) - my setup today:

    rdt412.jpg

    - RazoRock "Mudder Focker"
    - Thäter 2-band silvertip
    - Gillette Contour with original blade
    - Intesa After Shave

Just to confirm the results from my last shave I tried lathering again with a pretty wet brush today. Nope. You definitely don't want to do that with this brush. It holds an unbelievable amount of water - that pretty much screws up your lathering attempt every time.

Second try with a drier brush worked like a charm. Adding water slowly did the trick - and the brush itself is a face latherer's dream. Super soft tips, dense, nice backbone, great flow. On my skin it feels like a fluffy pillow :)

The plastic handled Contour razor is not quite as nice as the metal one, but nonetheless - it did a very good job. Two passes, smooth face :happy088:

    Have a great Sunday!

Fantastic setup. I really liked the pic on the SOTD thread with the brush reflecting in the polished cap.

You have a lot of nice brushes but the color on this handle is a cut above your usual high standards. Just wow!

A nice shave did brighten the otherwise rainy dreary morning. After making sure the brush was properly loaded, I face lathered slowly hydrating the soap as I went. The soft massage of the brush and the scent of Rossa made face lathering all the more enjoyable. After 2 passes, XTG & ATG, followed by some touch ups, I ended up with a near BBS. There is one spot on my lower right neck that usually gets me. Overall a great shave. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday.

Chris, that's a nice looking straight razor, but it has a mean looking sharp point on the blade.
