Third and final shave on this setup for the month. I'm actually having fun with the Mladost as I try to fine tune it for as little irritation as possible. It's just an aggressive razor to begin with, so it seems, and you add the slight irregularities that Soviet engineering bring and it turns into a fun little bundle of potential pain! Using the Voskhod with it has kept it very effective and less than its potential dangerousness.

Two passes again tonight for a nice DFS and no real issues with blood. I did have a magnificent lather from the Semogue 620 and Proaso. Decadently thick and slick. The alum at the end was still pretty hot, but the Nivea cooled it down and will hopefully keep my face in shape this month.

Tomorrow I'm going to start three days with the Sharp Star in the Rapira razor. Yep, gotta do it. The Sharp Star is a magnificent example of Moscow blades at their best. The Rapira razor - not so much. I'll be working to get them balanced and working together. I will take a day on Monday to try out the Magic shavette from @Bama Samurai. I'm having a bit of an uprising on the pancreatic level at the moment so need that to calm down before I approach my face with anything like a straight or pain stick. When those sudden sharp pains hit I sometimes can't keep from flinching. Bad news with the wrong razor.

We're headed for the first real cold snap of the year in the coming week. Gotta love winter.....even if it isn't here yet.

The HOSHI TOMBO came to me with great scales but with the blade in very bad shape as can be evidenced by the pitting visible in the photo. I'm glad I kept it and got it cleaned up though, because this thing is a dream to shave with. I've been using it frequently for about 4 years now. The asymmetrical grind and short edge essentially makes this a folding kamisori.

On second use of this blade the Claymore, was a bit more positive and as a result got a great all round shave, apart from pushing it too far at the corner of my lip, so got my first ever weeper with this razor.

Yet Another RazorGuy Shave​

Yet another RazorGuy shave. This is how I call my shaves when I use the homemade shave products I make as a hobby and for fun. I must say I can't stop using my newest Mastro Livi Club Shave Brush 2016 Edition because I like it very much! This shave brush, which can be ordered until 31 December 2016, has a super luxurious super silvertip badger loft and a beautiful handle which perfectly fits in my hand. Very balanced and with the right weight, it is a joy to use. As for the razor, I wanted to use this Mastro Livi "Perugia 13.12.14", a straight razor Mastro Livi made in occasion of the event held in his laboratory at the end of the 2014. I am one of the few lucky persons to have this beautiful straight razor. The final touch has been provided by my Bay Rum aftershave, a fragrance I really like.​

Wonderful shave this morning with the PAL Injecto-Matic. Excellent lather from the Arko Extra Performance shave cream. Three refreshing passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day friends.

A nice shave did brighten the otherwise rainy dreary morning. After making sure the brush was properly loaded, I face lathered slowly hydrating the soap as I went. The soft massage of the brush and the scent of Rossa made face lathering all the more enjoyable. After 2 passes, XTG & ATG, followed by some touch ups, I ended up with a near BBS. There is one spot on my lower right neck that usually gets me. Overall a great shave. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday.

Stirling Gentleman today. 20 seconds to load the RR/Zenith HMW. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Gillette “Spoiler” SS in the Red Tip. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Gentleman aftershave with menthol.

Easy Three passes, 1st, WTG, smooth and clean. 2nd pass, ATG/XTG, also smooth and clean. 3rd, a thinner lather for clean up. All smooth sooo close to a Dolhin smooth shave, I am a Happy camper, wishing the same for all my friends on TSD. God Bless this Sunday Morning.
