I don't speak French or German, but I'm a little suspicious of this translation.

 

I believe the proper German word is "schnitzengrubben." At least according to Mel Brooks. lol

 

I believe Knakkers are small beef sausages.

I took German in high school, and can still understand some of it.

Except that all those "das"-es should be "die"-s.
