I saw your post, I had some English Beat, Specials, and some early Jamaican Dance Hall stuff going (Prince Buster, General Echo) this morning... Good stuffs...

 

As you guys can probably tell I'm very much into Greek music from the 70's and 80's because Greece was my home for 15 years after I left Israel. This video is music which although I love, many people might hate these songs for political reasons. If you support the PASOK party like I do, this is music for your pleasure. If you support SYRIZA, maybe you will, maybe you won't. If you support the Hyrssi Avghi party, (Golden Dawn) then don't and I mean DON'T listen to these songs.

 

If you are at all into the jazz funk fusion thing, this set brings it down. With a twelve pound sledgehammer.

Another song which I love and which almost got me in a fist fight when I was singing it one day while walking my dog. Strangely enough the guy who objected as also a non-Greek. He backed off FAST when my dog started snarling at him - it's not a very good move to get a 130+ pound German Shepherd pissed off! lollll

 

My daughter was asking me "Daddy, what are you singing?" I told her, "Ilana, my love, these are songs I know from the time before you were born!"

Again, be CAREFUL where you sing this song. It can be controversial!
