5 rubberset 400 copy.jpeg Here are 5-400's All in very nice shape. one #4, two #3, two no numbers. The boar bristle is a #4 and looks to be unused. I couldn't break down and remove that knot. It's simply in too good condition. The Maggard's synthetic bristle is a no number. One #3 has a Tuxedo synthetic knot as do the 2 no number brushes. One of the no number Tuxedo brush knot has a handle that looks brand new. All I did was use some MAS polish on that one.

The Tuxedo knot on the #3 (second from left) looks a different shape from the other two. Is it a trick of the camera or are there different option available when you buy one?

The two on the right look like shorter loft. The knots set deeper holding the bulb shape tighter? APShaveCo does have a new 30mm Tuxedo, an all white & a faux horse knot. If I recall the last two are smaller diameter than the original Tuxedo.

I haven't used the Faux Horse Hair (22 mm) or the Cashmere (24 mm) very much. I do find them to be a little different than the Tuxedo (30 mm).

No the differences in the look of the Tuxedo knots is because of loft and each knot seems to be a little different in appearance. All 3 are 24mm. I have the all white version and the horse imitation version and they each are different feeling from each other and the Tuxedo knot IMHO seems to be superior in feel and water retention, though all 3 lather very well. But, IMHO the Tuxedo knot is the best choice.
