Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to trying their Sandalwood products. I have a few C&E Indian Sandalwood soaps, a cream, and a balm and was looking for a good AS. I agree that PAA makes great products overall and my experience with their aftershaves has been top notch.

I must say it is a unique razor, which I really like. I found it's different enough from an angle perspective that it provides a refreshing shaving experience that does not feel like my other razors. I only have 2 shaves under my belt now, yesterday with the CC & today with the OC. At this point, I would say that it provides a very close shave by the second pass, and honestly I feel the blade more then on my R41. Combined with what appears to be a shallow, tight cutting angle range, I need to be more careful with it until I become more used to its unique geometry. Nevertheless, I really like it so far and think it will be a great daily driver, providing very close shaves without leaving my face on the raw side. Some razors like my Wunderbar, provide really close shaves by the second pass, but when used daily can be a bit rough on the face - almost too close. I like to use a more mild razor by the third day. I don't get this impression from the Blackbird, but I will need to use it more and get more comfortable with it. I think it will provide very close shaves daily but will be a bit more gentle with my face - if that makes any sense? I just can't wait to see how it works long term with more shaves under my belt and trying different blades.

The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #120 silvertip badger brush. I did two passes the Gillette Fatboy and Wilkinson Sword Super Sword blade, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor: Timeless .95 OC w/ Hempel Ti Handle
Blade: Personna 74 Tungsten Steel (18)
    Brush: El Druida Cocololo Manchurian
Soap: Reef Point Soap Classic Barbershop
    Aftershave: Fine Platinum
    Fendrihan Shave towel
I'll keep on using this razor and blade until it starts to pull and tug. The El Druida Cocololo Manchurian is a pleasure to use. It is one of the best brushes in my den. The Reef Point Soap Classic Barbershop performed very well all week.
I'll start tomorrow with some new hardware and software.
