Hey folks, I just picked this up in a local discount store: All About Men Shave Cream I was wondering if any one has used this. I have not. I don't know whether this will lather, but suspect it will not - based on the instructions. But for $1.29, I am sure I can put it to good use, even if only a preshave. I'll let you know, but it might be awhile before I get to it. In the mean time, let us know if YOU have used this product. Thanks.
Nope, never seen it. But as far as pre-shave, VDH Shave Butter and a hot towel works good for me. The VDH was not good as a shave cream.
I finally got to try this product. As I suspected, it does not produce a lather. It looks and feels more like a conditioner that you would use on your hair after shampoo. Since it wasn't lathering up, I used it as a pre-shave. It has moderate slickness, but not enough for me to feel right shaving with just this on my face. I know some of you have used Cremo with good results, but I am not familiar with it, so could not compare this to Cremo. The scent is very pleasant and clean, but does not last after lathering with VanDerHagen. I did also pick up a tube of "All About Men" aftershave balm - same price, same scent but much more lasting, and very nice feel after the shave. "Hydrates and soothes long after you put it on Enriched with shea butter, coconut oil, and aloe Herbaceous blend of balsam leaves and sage with a hint of refreshing mint Mix and match with all Upper Canada's all about men range " The Balm is very thick, and I like that. So, for a reasonable price, I got a decent pre-shave, and a great AS Balm. I will probably buy another tube of each to have around. HAPPY SAINT PATTY'S DAY!
