First pipe was Baki Meer Author with Paul's Morning Smoke. Now having same baccy but in my Dan Spaniola hand made Cayuga with deer antler.
A bowl before dinner. After dinner the evening was so nice I put a firelog in the firepit and had another couple of bowls while contemplating life and staring at the fire. No phone, texts, emails, etc. A very enjoyable evening for an old fart.
For those interested in Falcons, this old thread is a good read even though it's several years old. http://www.pipesmokerforum.com/forum/showthread.php?806-Some-Notes-on-Falcon-Pipes
Falcons are on my Watch List. I see them pop up in auctions. Even new they are affordable. One base unit & several bowls sounds like a good way to do it.
I'm still not a huge fan of their looks, but they are great smokers. I got mine as part of a trade, and I was happy enough with the rest of the deal, the Falcon was like a gimme. I haven't smoked it in a while, but I think maybe I'll dig it out and give it a whirl next weekend.
Hey Friends, after luch i will break in my new pipe. A Rossi 320 KS Vulcano. The price was reduced and i wanted to have a 320 shape for a long time. So, here it is. I´m so happy that i bought this beauty. The rustication is wonderful, the weight is on point and it feels soooo good in my hand. Very very comfortable. Hope it smokes as good, as it looks. I have to buy at least one more pipe in 320 shape. This will be a Savinelli. I think of a Porto Cervo. But let´s see what the future will bring. Here is my Italian Lady : Greetings Thorsten
I'm hanging out with my buddy smoking some Orlik Golden Sliced in my Italian Algerian briar pipe (I've been lazy and haven't cleaned the Kaywoodie yet)
John Bull in a Dr. Grabow Royal Duke with a hot cup of Hazelnut Cappuccino. Been wicked busy lately; though when you own a business, that's a good problem to have. =)
I'm doing a March Meer Madness on a pipe smoking forum so for the whole month I'll be smoking the following 2 pipes Baki Author (about 18 bowls through it with this photo) The other is my SMS mini cutty guessing 30 bowls with this photo So far this am, Paul's Morning Smoke, Elizabethan Mixture and now OJK in the Baki.
Solani 656 in Rossi Prince on a cool clear morning. The drip pot gave up with a high pitched electronic squeal. I fell back to older technology. Same coffee, more fine grounds at the bottom of my mug. Next I might dust off the espresso machine.
