Wow you are awesome. The comb edge was a bit rough so I thought because of the packaging and date on the box it was an E3 Popularity package. Didn't the earlier E2's rotate open? I guess sometime during the E2 run, the spring became fixed? I could not find any definitive information. Do you know how to date? I assume it is from some time between 1939-45. Thanks for your wealth of information.

Received some injector blades today for a Schick I bought this last Sunday at the antique store. I will give it a spin tomorrow. My first injector!

Enjoy your E2. Those blades rock in that injector. Just I tip. Easy on the pressure, you will be rewarded with your closest shave.

Its Hard for an Exact Date for that One You Have..It Came Out in 1942 I Believe the Same Year as the 20 Yr Guarantee..Mid 1942 After Peril Harbour they were Only Made for the Military & Resumed Normal Production after the War..I Don't Know How Long that Particular Model You have was Made..I Am Guessing From 1942 Till 1946 when Ever Sharp Took Over..:)

The Type E 1 Opened for Cleaning & Came out On 1935/36...The 1st Type E 2 Also Opened for Cleaning & was Released about 1937/38..The Type Es Ceased Production in the USA Plant in 1946 After the Ever Sharp Takeover..The Type E s Were Continued in the Canadian Plant However Until 1955..:happy088:

Thanks once again. Your knowledge is fantastic. I'm a bit nervous because I have seen many claim the E2 could be aggressive and rough, but I will be giving it a go anyway tomorrow morning.

Took a while to clean up the old type, but it came out OK. The gold on the Black Beauty (O3) isn't all there, but it's a candidate for a restore. They were up for bidding together and I guess $20.00 wasn't too bad for both.

I just received in 2 more soaps:
    Chiseled Face Santa Paula
    Chiseled Face Midnight Stag
I was on the fence on the Santa Paula, I'm not big on fruity scents but this has a nice spice background. I'm really excited about the Midnight Stag, I've been wanting to try it for a while. I'm getting a lot of leather and a mixture of awesome behind that.

I just received two 22mm synthetic knots from Maggards. Just the right size for my two newest handles: JR#145 and JR#146. I am going to set them later today.

I am glad that I really liked the shave with the Schick E today, otherwise I have nothing else that uses these blades!
I was really impressed with the Schick - very smooth and close. I seem to really like SE type razors - My Hawk is also really great to use.
The only down side is that the injector blades are relatively expensive compared to my DE's. It doesn't break the bank, but I wish they were less expensive.
