    An impulse buy, just looks so cool. I haven't found any definitive way to date these, seems could be early fifties up to 74. I haven't been impressed enough with my other Merkurs to hang on to them, we'll see about this one.

    $34 I think was a good price. I've seen pretty clean cased ones under $75 so maybe not a steal. Just hope it aligns well and gives a good shave. My slant looked a lot better than it shaved.

    Thanks Tom. It looks like bone to me. It turned out to be a no name razor that just says "Sheffield England" on it. The blade does look to be in good shape. I think it will clean up nicely. The brush turned out to be a very nice Heldtite. I'm pleased. [​IMG]

    Another Stirling shaving soap again saying this soap is back on the shelve again, never heard of this new soap contains Mutton Tallow.
