Last night was the best shave I've gotten out of the C1 So far. Really loaded the heck out of The Blades Grim Cinder soap and had a very rich, shiny, creamy lather. Have a great day my friends!

Well, this week with injectors has been interesting. The shaves have been ok but, and I've mentioned it before, there is always blood. I don't like that so going back to DE's especially my Parker Variant which has to be the best razor in the world (at least for me). Now go enjoy your day folks.

Even though I will use different blades in the Gillette Old Style, my preference leans more towards Ladas, Rapiras and in this case, Voskhods. They still perform magnificently like a Lab Blue, but with the added benefit of being much smoother. And in this case it was just so, achieving a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave with two passes and minor touch up.

... First go with the new bulldog handle on the R41. Lovely weight instead of the stock handle. Also first try with the Semogue. Had to keep loading more soap from the jar. Oh well. I know it's gonna be a couple of hard weeks before the Semogue breaks in. All in all a nice shave.

Friday's shave: I have been using all my bay rum scented soaps this week. Today ends the week with the last one - Captain's Choice. Love the scent. G1 Fatboy with a Personna Lab Blue blade, Simpson "The Colonel" best badger brush, Captain's Choice bowl, Nivea post shave balm and the ever popular Clubman Bay Rum. Very close/smooth shave. The wife is out of town on business so I'm flying solo for date night. Guess I'll head out for the local prime rib special with all the trimmings. There might also be a bourbon or two which always makes for a good accompaniment to a good meal.

 

I love it! It's great for head shaving.
