Outstanding three passes with fourth pass as clean up for a BBS. This blade is preforming better after a couple of shaves. Good feed back from the Personna Star also. It says on the pack Platinum Coated Edges.
My team got beat out so Paul is happy.

The Old Spice Lime Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Bunny B-400 Boar brush. I did two passes the Acevivi Dual-comb razor and Wilkinson Sword blade, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I had plastic bottles, but these blue ones look a lot better and they weren't that much to buy. The labels I made from googling images and printing them to about the size I needed, even trimming if necessary. Then I used clear packing tape to put them on. Next time I'll use adhesive backed paper, maybe even the clear ones.

Not the best shav, had a lot of leftover stubble and did get some irritation, but I was in a hurry and that's what happened. Anyways, the fruity scent of the SS soap is a bit unique and a change of pace. More of a passion fruit with some coconut in the mix. As always the performance of Soap Smooth is top notch. And the Stirling balm helped soothe some of the damage.

Super smooth BBS shave this evening. Man do I love the performance of these Ballenclaugh soaps, lather holds a ton of water and has all the qualities most look for in a shaving soap. Some of the scents are not for everyone, this is not a regular tobacco scent, it almost has a leathery coconut type of scent that is awesome. Did get some heavy burning from the balm, which happens every time I use it, but the scent is worth the discomfort and it is a darn good balm. Don't you hate it when you love a scent and it burns your face? We all may run into a particular scent that will give a burning sensation, but for the most part unless your skin is super sensitive, it doesn't happen that often. Anyways, happy with today's shave results and hope you also enjoyed your shave. Cheers!

 

Tonight's shave was with a fantastically smooth Razor. I had a 2 pass shave, and Baby Dolphin Butt Smooth results.

Rarely have I been less enthused to shave than tonight. Knowing the Derby was waiting for me just didn't add any joy to my day and it was a long one. I worked today on a trade off for a manager in another store so I was already off my normal schedule. Plus I have big bosses in my store tomorrow and I have to have a presentation ready for some sales training I'm doing for the District. That had to be tightened up. And the Derby was waiting for me when I got home. Almost didn't come home. Well, not really.

The surprising thing is it was actually better than yesterday which lends a bit of credence to the idea that the Derby is best in aggressive razors. With the Slim on 9 there was still a general lack of smoothness and the alum is still plenty warm but I made it through three passes without stopping or feeling like I should stop. Finished DFS but nothing special so there was that as well. While I don't think I'll ever load another one I can say that aggressive razors may give this blade a shot and, given that there are fans of the blade, I can't say it's total trash. But for my den - yeah, not gonna happen.

Not sure what I'll go to yet for the next few days just because work has had me so pinned down. I'm staring at this thread knowing it's growing beyond my ability to stay current but I'm planning to spend some time tomorrow when the bosses leave to start catching up. Unless, of course, some pesky customers show up to buy beds. This job would be perfect if it wasn't for the customers. You know that drill.

Looking ahead to MAYhem, two of the chosen implements of torture arrived today. Things are lining up nicely!
