I laughed non-stop when I heard about ass milk shaving soaps. If not for my brother-in-law whose English is much better than mine translating for me I'd still be laughing!

    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE86811GBL
    Blade: Ladas (02)
Brush: MS Faux Horn Memphis 24mm 2 band
Bowl: The Distinctive Goat Style 3 5"
    Pre-Shave Scrub: Lisa's Sunny Citrus
Pre-Shave oil: Homemade Bay Rum w Lime
    Shave Soap: Stirling Bay Rum
    Post: Stirling Bay Rum Butter
Aftershave: Ogallala Bay Rum X2 strength

Been little under 4 years since I last tried Stirling Bay Rum and at that time I didn't care for his Bay Rum scent as it smelt synthetic to me if that makes sense. Well almost a week ago I ventured over to the site to see if anything would catch my interest and noticed he had a Bay Rum body butter so I looked it up and now appears he uses Essential Oil and not FO for his current run of Bay Rum. Well have always loved the lather and slickness of Rod's soaps so took the plunge and bought a new tub of Bay Rum Shave Soap and the Bay Rum Body Butter. They arrived yesterday and this time he hit the right formula for his BR scent and cant wait to give the shave soap and the body butter a try tomorrow. While cleaning up my shave shelves I noticed a stack of Bay Rum soaps I haven't used in quite some time, so for the next two weeks I will be using every Bay Rum Soap in my den which I believe is 14 based on my spreadsheet give or take one or two as I've been pretty lax lately in keeping it updated.

Thanks Celestiono. Picked up a lighting kit on the cheap that someone bought to use for Ebay but never got around to it so sold it half price to get it out of his home. First attempt in using it and will take some time to play with the lighting, backgrounds and my camera.

    Arko Adjustable April!!!!!

    April 29

    Razor - Soviet Consul (6)
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - WCS Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Two shaves left in Arko Adjustable April and I'm ending with the Soviet Consul and Rapira SS blade. Just a classic Russki combo. I set the Consul on 6, which is about 8 on a Gillette, lathered up the Arko from the stick and did two full passes and some touch up. DFS finish. Not quite as good as I normally get but I was hurrying a bit and not that picky tonight. Just fun to use the total Russian combo alongside the Turkish goodness that is Arko.

Same setup to finish the month tomorrow night and then on to MAYhem!! I'll have the new month posted within the hour for you early birds out there.

Thank you for the very kind words. The funny thing is I cut my left thumb open taking it! The razor slipped out of my hand coming down the stairs and that oh so sharp, new feather blade caught the tip of my thumb. I didn't notice, but I had blood all over my finger, got it on the size of the Cellar Door soap and the rim of the Sherlock tin. I wiped it off the Nivea cap before the picture. You can still see a dark spot in the photo on the top of the tin rim near the left side of the photo! I just didn't want to drop the Wolfman. Save the razor - lose the finger!

My tub of Glacial Lemon Chill soap is nearing the end but I have another one on the way which makes me so damned happy. In the meantime the one I'm still using is giving me awesome lather with its world-famous menthol freeze and perfect skincare. My shave this morning could not have been any better, even though the Astra blade started to struggle a bit. For tomorrow I want to see how a Rapira blade performs for me - it's always given me great shaves, but I want to compare it to my Astras. Oh, how can I forget my Lemon Chill witch hazel? It delivered beautifully on the frozen skincare and its scent matches very well with my YSL Pour Homme eau de toilette. :happy088::happy088:

Have a wonderful Sunday, my friends! :)

Thank you Doug. They are stones in a decorative metal tray. My wife uses the tray with stones to display earrings she has made during her jewelry shows.

She makes all sorts of jewelry as a hobby. She tries to recoup enough money in the shows to pay for the hobby .
