There are about six or eight high dollar razors being offered for peanuts on the Bay right now as a BIN. Each one appears to be selling under a randomly generated name with a ZERO sales or buy rating. All seem to have been created on June 6, 2017 and are from China. Don't forget that old adage. If it seems to good to be true, it usually is. Case in point:
This happens regularly on eBay. I'm sure a lot of people jump on the BIN thinking they have the deal of the century, only to find that the seller closes their account after payment is received. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.
saw it last night, he had at least 30 different different accounts and on every each account 1 each expensive razor at stupid cheap cost, I reported at least 20 of his different listings
I saw this one last night, BUY IT NOW for $15.83 ************************ "1959 Men's Gillette Fatboy E1 Shaving Razor & NOS Sj" Up for auction consideration is a grouping lot of vintage GILLETTE Brand SAFETY RAZORS along with a number of unused STAINLESS RAZOR BLADES lot includes TWO (2) 'Fatboy' Razors marked E1 and E3 along with FIFTY (50) UNUSED Gillette Stainless Razor Blades ************************** Somebody bought it. I hope they didn't get scammed, but I bet they did.
I think who ever bid on it should have read further down. It says priority mail in the US, looks like it was copied from someone else as it says item location in China.
Holy Smokes, you're right! It is an exact copy of another auction titled, "1959 Men's Gillette Fatboy E1 Shaving Razor & NOS Super Stainless Blade Vtg LOT". Same photo, same description, everything. The legit auction was completed May 28, 2017 for $55.00.
usually, when I'm searching for razors - I only do "North America". I only look at China for new, low cost things, and mostly from two or three sellers. Ganvillage-green gets most of my razor business, but I think I'll be hitting up Virginia Sheng for a couple of things next week. I've seen two or three other 'regular' sellers that appear trustworthy.
