How's your day? July 2017!!

The job search is not going to well, I had an interview this last week where I was tuned away from the job, because I hadn't visited the home builder's showhomes....I rent my place and the home builder I used to work for built luxury homes... averaging about $1.8M/house. This place I interviewed at averages probably $300k/house...so I have never had a reason to visit their showhomes. They weren't a competitor, and I'm not in the market. :/ Oh well...it would have been a bad place to work since that's how they qualify their employees....even though the job was a no brainer.

Aside form that, I'm waiting to hear from a friend in construction (project manager). I spoke to him today and he is going to help me get a job on one of the big projects here that are starting up in the coming weeks. I will be a laborer, but way better pay than what I am making at Safeway! I am also going to try to talk a co-worker (at Safeway) and see if they are interested in doing sales for the internet marketing business I have going. Other than that, the economy is still dead here and there's nothing...so I'm trying to pave my way to something.

Busy day here in Central NJ. Herself worked OT last night. Got home at 0100. After a glass of wine and a foot rub, we finally racked out about 0130. Woke up at 0730. I shaved while she showered. Off to the fleamarket. No joy in the shaving line, but plenty of Jersey produce.
Then it was home and yard work. We've got 3/4 of an acre, so there was trimming, weeding etc. After a shower it was off to Princeton for dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant "Tiger Noodles". They have outside dining. Chicken & stringbeans for me, shrimp and walnuts for her. Then it was back home. Back to work tomorrow for some rest!

Today is a big day for me and my wife. Our baby girl turned 21 years old.
Goodness, it seems like yesterday that she was born, looking back at all the great times we've had brings a smile to my face.
She gave me a kiss this morning, that's the best thing a dad could ask for.

Busy day- we took Mom to the cardiologist for pre-surgical clearance (for her hip replacement.). Her pacemaker is working well & this is the last hurdle in the clearance process.

 

Best wishes to your mother, and pray everything goes in a routine fashion and she's recovers quickly. Good luck to you as well, and hope things go well for you as you care for her.

 

Ah... The Ocean. So far away. Nice pics! Congrats to you as parents!

Just got back from day 1. Shot 418 out of 720. My previous best for one day was 358. Now let's see how I do tomorrow.
